The Blimp is the ultimate windshield and shock mounting system for RØDE shotgun microphones, as well as third-party shotgun microphones up to 325mm in length.

It features a Rycote® Lyre® suspension system for superior isolation from handling noise, along with an ultra-lightweight and ergonomic handle for comfortable operation during extended recording sessions.

Inside the grip is a heavy-duty Mogami® cable that connects via a junction box to a flexible internal cable within the Blimp, helping minimise the transfer of vibration to the microphone.

The Blimp attaches to any standard boompole using a 3/8-inch thread mount located at the base.

An optional Universal Blimp Mount is available for removing the handle when using the Blimp primarily on a boompole setup.

The package includes the Dead Wombat windshield, cleaning brush and tail/patch cable.
