We offer nationwide delivery for R99! If your order is over R1500 your delivery will be free! 

Delivery times vary by location, ranging from 2-5 working days. While we often deliver faster, orders to less densely populated or non-urban areas may take longer. If you require your order urgently, please contact us directly.

Same-day delivery is not typically available. However, if you need something urgently, reach out to us, and we’ll do our utmost to accommodate you.

Yes, we provide nationwide delivery services.

International typically do not ship internationally, but we encourage international customers interested in our products to get in touch. We’re here to assist wherever possible

Absolutely, you may collect your online order in-store. Simply select the ‘Click and Collect’ option at checkout. As we work on an appointment only basis at the store, please call ahead when you are coming to collect. 


Should you decide to collect your order in person after placing it, please inform us as soon as possible to prevent dispatch and to ensure your order is prepared and ready for collection upon your arrival.

To initiate a return, please complete our return request form. If your return is approved, we will arrange for a courier to collect the item from you, sending you a waybill and packaging instructions. Upon receipt, we will inspect the product and contact you to confirm if the return has been accepted, discussing the next steps for a refund or exchange.

Delivery & Returns policy

Article 1. Introduction

  1. This Delivery Policy (“Delivery Policy”) is only valid for products purchased from The Sound Dept. (Pty) Ltd
  2. This Delivery Policy has been developed to ensure the accurate and secure delivery of all purchases according to the customer’s delivery needs.
  3. This Delivery Policy forms part of the agreement between The Sound Dept. (Pty) Ltd and its customers. This Delivery Policy should be read together with the website Terms and Conditions.

Article 2. Delivery Procedure

  1. Once an order has been received and confirmed, no changes to the specified address and/or delivery option will be accepted unless specifically acknowledged by us.
  2. After payment has been made, the customer will receive a tracking code to track the delivery.
  3. Orders will be delivered between 9:00 and 17:00 on weekdays.
  4. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that someone is available to receive the order once it has reached the delivery address.
  5. If no one is present at the address when the delivery is attempted, the products will be retained and a new arrangement, which may incur an additional cost, may be made to deliver the order.
  6. The person receiving the order is required to sign a delivery note or submit a 3-digit pin as proof that the order has been delivered.
  7. Before signing the delivery note, the person receiving is required to check the contents of the order received against the delivery note to ensure that the products are not damaged or missing.
  8. Once the person has signed and agreed that the order is correct, undamaged, and in good condition, the customer will not have a claim for any incomplete/missing orders.

Article 3. Delivery Areas

  1. We deliver within South Africa.
  2. Customers are required to provide their physical address for delivery and contact details before completing their purchase. Products will be delivered to the physical address specified by the customer.

Article 4. Delivery Fees

  1. All deliveries are free of any standard fees.
  2. There may be delivery surcharges for faster delivery times or for delivery to outlying areas or to chain stores, farms, hospitals, etc.
  3. Any delivery fees are calculated on checkout based on the information provided.

Article 5. Delivery Methods

  1. Orders will be delivered using a courier(s) of our choice.

Article 6. Delivery Time Frame

  1. Without considering or being affected by external factors, local orders within South Africa will be delivered to the customer within 1-5 working days after the order and payment of that order has been received and confirmed.

Article 7. Disclaimer

  1. We shall take all reasonable efforts to accurately reflect the products, purchase price, and delivery charges of products on the website. However, should there be any errors of whatsoever nature on the website (which are not due to our fault), we shall not be liable to make good on a transaction based on any error apart from refunding any monies paid by the customer to us.
  2. We will not be liable if delivery does not occur within the time frame mentioned in this Delivery Policy and cannot be liable for any loss occasioned by the delay in delivery.
  3. The risk transfers to the customer once the order is collected by the allocated courier. We cannot take any responsibility for any loss or damage to an order or part of an order once it has left our premises.

Article 1. Circumstances in which Returns and/or Exchanges are allowed

  1. The incorrect product has been delivered to you.
  2. The product delivered to you is damaged or defective.
  3. The product is not as described.
  4. You do not want the product which was delivered to you.

Article 2. When a Return and/or Exchange needs to be initiated

  1. Returns and/or exchanges need to be initiated within fourteen days of delivery.

Article 3. The choices you have upon Returning the Product

  1. Have your account credited.
  2. Have the product replaced.
  3. Receive a refund via your original payment method.

Article 4. How a Return and/or Exchange is initiated

  1. All returns and/or exchanges shall be initiated by filling in a return request form or by sending an email, providing the reason for the return and your preference for account credit or replacement.

Article 5. Condition of the Product Returned

  1. Undamaged.
  2. Unused.
  3. In the original packaging.
  4. Packaged and wrapped correctly and safely by you.

Article 6. Manner of Return

  1. The return will be collected by a courier company or must be brought into store by you.
  2. If being collected by courier, you will receive an email with a waybill to attach to the package.

Article 7. What will happen once a Product is returned

  1. Once returned and subject to a product inspection, your account will be credited or the product replaced as per your preference.

Article 8. Product Inspection

  1. Once returned, we will inspect the product before accepting the return.
  2. If the product is not suited to be returned, we are not obliged to accept it.
  3. If the product was returned used and not in a saleable condition, we will refuse the return and you will be liable for the cost of delivery back to you.
